Day 1: Yerevan
We are extremely glad to meet the guests from other countries, wishing to show the best sites of Armenia. And in the very beginning of the tour you are going to be met by the driver of our company, who takes the group to the center of the city. And the main city of the country, its principal city is Yerevan. The city is known to be located at the altitude of 900-1300m, in the north east of the Ararat plain. That is why guests have a chance to walk along the city located in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains. It is seen to emerge in the 8th century BC, starting to be the cultural center. Little later dinner is given in the restaurant, so that night is taken in the hotel.
Day 2: Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Yerevan
As we still travel along the capital of the country, we would like to show the best cities which seem to be important in frames of the country. So, now the trip starts in the center of the city at the observation deck of Victory Park, as from here the road to the Cascade. It is the famous museum under the open air. Then we get to the Opera and Ballet Theater and the Sergei Parajanov Museum. For the next city of the country you are better to get acquainted with is the city of Echmiadzin. Echmiadzin is identified as the religious location, known by all Armenian people from various parts of the world. Lunch is taken in the Machanents Creative Center, and only after it the driving trip is aimed at the locality of the works of the famous sculptor Kochar - Sasuntsi David. Our team is glad to show the place, depicting the history, with the carpets in the "Megerian Carpet" factory. There are carpets of 400 years old, and local craftsmen can help with the creation of your own carpets. In the evening we drive to the capital and stroll along the Northern Avenue the singing fountains in the Republic Square. Hotel is taken for the night.
Day 3: Yerevan - Goris
Having had breakfast, borders are going to visit the Ararat valley, as going along it, the famous Khor Virap monastery is noticed. This monastery is known to be historically important, being created in the 4th century, just in the times of the adoption of Christianity. For the following village Areni is visited. It opens the views of the Vayots Dzor region, famous for winemaking. The deal of winemaking is known for about 6000 years old, evidences to which were found in the local cave in September 2008. Following then, our group makes a visit of the Noravank monastery. It was created in the 13th century, being peculiar for the gorge of red rocks. Having lunch we continue the way to the Goris village, where we have a walk along the village and have night in the hotel.
Day 4: Goris - Yeghegis
As we are in Goris, breakfast is taken and then the tour is made to the Zorats Karer (Karahunj). It is known for being the historical and archeological location, with the ancient megalithic constructions placed there. It is based at the height of 1770m, being seen far from the road. About the 6th millennium BC the location used to be the observatory. At the same time there is the wall with the depiction of stars on the sky about 7.5 thousand years ago. As then the drive is taken to Tatev, guests are offered to have a way along the longest cable car. This cable car is going along the Vorotan gorge of 320 meters deep. In Yeghegis we have night, but before the trip to be made there, guests have lunch.
Day 5: Yeghegis - Sevan lake - Dilijan
Now you get to the height of 2500m, of the Selim Pass. This place is known to be extremely picturesque and breathtaking, so that the view must be taken here. Then Lake Sevan is going to be witnessed. It is known to be the gem of the country, at the altitude of 1900m. It is the highest lake being freshwater at the same time. The views of the Ayrivank and Noradus Monasteries are taken later, with lunch being taken in Tsaghkunk. But greater attention should be paid to Sevanavank Monastery which was created in 874. It was based by Princess Mariam on the peninsula. Rest is taken in the resort town of Dilijan, where nature of woods should be viewed better. Moreover, it is the best opportunity to walk along the roads of the 19th century town. Night is taken in the hotel.
Day 6: Dilijan - Gyumri
As you have breakfast in the morning, we are going to have a tour to the other striking location of Armenia, the Lori region. Here there are such places as Sanahin and Haghpat monasteries, which are included into the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as being the biggest centers of the region in frames of education and science. Then the view of the Debed River, with its forests, canyons and villages is taken. Lunch is known to be offered in the Kefoe restaurant, where local recipes can be tried. After it, Gyumri is visited. It is the second largest city of the country, where there are a lot of important sites, such as five churches, a monastery and an Orthodox chapel, and the most valuable Amenaprkich Church (Church of the Savior). In the Gvug gastro-yard dinner is served, so that then you get to the hotel for the night.
Day 7: Gyumri - Yerevan
Right from the hotel the trip is taken to the Sev Berd, the Museum of Crafts and Frunzik Mkrtchyan, and after it the Cherkezi Dzor restaurant is visited and we turn out to pass the Mount Aragats for getting to the Saghmosavank Monastery (Psalm Monastery). The Saghmosavank Monastery (Psalm Monastery) is located in the gorge of the Kasakh River. Here there is the monument put in honor of the 1600th anniversary of the creation of alphabet. It was put here in 20052. Hotel of Yerevan is offered for the night.
Day 8: Yerevan - Garni - Yerevan
Our company is glad to offer the visit of the pretty canyon of the Azat River, where the 13th century Geghard monastery is located. It is known to be the UNESCO World Heritage Site and just one of the most picturesque places of the country. For the following place to see during the last day of the tour in Armenia, we would like to get to Garni village. It is known for being the site of the Symphony of Stones and a pagan temple of the Hellenistic style. The village is known to be created in 77AD. Lunch is taken in the local resident's house, and after lunch the way to the capital is taken. Being in the principal city it shows such places as the Yerevan Brandy Factory and ARARAT Museum to be visited. Night is offered in the hotel.
Day 9: Flight
