Day 1: Ashgabat
Welcome to Turkmenistan. On arrival you will be transferred to Ashgabat city and have a city tour. Visit Ertogrul Ghazi mosque, the archeological site "Nisa" (mud brick remains of fortifications and palaces, temples, ceremony hall, treasury building. It covers the remains of Parthian civilization, what combined the traditional art and culture with Hellenistic and Roman elements. Visit Russian bazaar. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Kow Ata - Nokhur - Balkanabat
In the morning we will drive to Kow Ata - Underground Lake. The Turkmen name Kow Ata means Father of caves. You will see underground area appears like a superb area: the overall length of the cave is 230 m, its height reaches 20 m, and its width is at some points 57 m. The bottom of the cave is covered with lumps of melted limestone and its warm water is clear. The water temperature of 33-37°C. We will drive to Nokhur for about 120km - 2 /3 hours. The village is located a small depression valley in the mountains of the Kopet Dag Range. There are houses built with local stones cemented with mud. The streets are so narrow that they only just fit a car between the high stone retentive walls on each side. The Nohkuri people who populate this remote mountain village are different and live in the mountainous border area spanning Turkmenistan and Iran. Nokhur is the largest village with just a thousand or maybe two thousand people. We will continue our way to Balkanabat. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Balkanabat - Yangykala - Gozli Ata - Turkmenbashy - Awaza
We will travel to Yangykala. The word "yangikala" is translated from Turkmen as "fire fortresses". On a tour you will admire the sheer cliffs of white, yellow, ocher, purple and red colors. We have no doubt you will like to see during sunset, when everything is dyed in a red-hot color. In the evening you will visit "Gozli Ata" pilgrimage place. In the afternoon we will visit Turkmenbashy as well as tourist zone Awaza. Enjoy on the shore of the Caspian Sea. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Awaza - Ashgabat
In the morning is free time on the shore of the Caspian Sea. In the afternoon we will drive to Ashgabat. In the evening is city tour. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 5: Ashgabat - Darwaza
We will drive to Gypjak in order to see largest mosque in the central Asia. We will visit Horse Farm and drive back to Ashgabat then drive to Darwaza. We will visit the village Erbent where can be acquainted with lifestyle of the Turkmen people. Then continue drive to Darwaza town.
Day 6: Darwaza - Kunya Urgench - Shawat border
Having a hearty breakfast, we will visit an architectural monument of Old Urgench, Khorezm capital X-XII centuries. On the tour, visit the Mausoleum of Najm al Din al Kubra, Tyurabek Khanum, Il Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia Kutlyg Timur. Transfer to Dashoguz and Shawat border. End of the tour. Thank you!
